Upcoming Webinar 18 September 2025

INSA Webinar Series presents:

Walking Two Worlds: Indigenous Experiences of Schooling in Aotearoa and Ireland

Hosted by the International Network for School Attendance (INSA), this special webinar will explore the lived educational experiences of Indigenous communities in Aotearoa New Zealand and Ireland.

Nicole Manawatu-Brennan will share insights grounded in a Māori worldview, drawing from lived experiences, cultural narratives, and enduring whakapapa connections to hapū (sub-tribe), iwi (tribe), and the wider Māori hapori (community). Ruth Sherridan Clegg will speak about the experiences of Irish Travellers, an Indigenous ethnic minority in Ireland. Together, they will reflect on how colonial legacies, cultural identity, and systemic barriers shape school attendance and engagement, as well as what culturally grounded support and change can look like.

Join us for this important conversation centring Indigenous voices and knowledges.

Live Webinar Times:

Thursday 18th September

9am Ireland | 10am central Europe | 8pm Aotearoa New Zealand
